Role Description:
Silver Sponge Panel and Paint Pty Ltd is a growing name in premium car wash and detailing services across Australia. As we expand our offerings, we are seeking a skilled and detail oriented Vehicle Painter to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering high quality paintwork on customer vehicles, from minor touch-ups to full resprays, ensuring every car leaves our facility looking immaculate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess vehicles to determine required painting and repair work.
- Mix and match paints to achieve accurate colour finishes.
- Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking and priming.
- Apply paint using spray guns and other professional tools in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Conduct quality checks post-painting and complete polishing or refinishing as needed.
- Maintain clean, safe and organised workspaces.
- Collaborate with the detailing and service teams to ensure seamless handover of vehicles.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Skill Level Requirements:
- Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent trade qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a vehicle painter.
- Strong knowledge of paint mixing, matching systems and application techniques.
- Familiarity with different surface types and finishes.
- Eye for detail and a high standard of workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
