Role Description
This is a full-time (4-day work week) on-site role for an Occupational Therapist based in Newcastle, NSW. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing clients' needs, developing and implementing therapy plans, and delivering occupational therapy services across a range of settings. The role involves working both independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support clients in achieving their personal goals. Regular communication with clients, families, and other professionals will also be a key component of the role.
Qualifications
Proven expertise in Occupational Therapy, including assessment and intervention planning for clients
Experience or knowledge in medicine and rehabilitation practices to support client recovery and well-being
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Experience working with children and/or proficiency in pediatric care
Current registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., AHPRA)
Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Knowledge or experience within the NDIS framework and trauma-informed practices is advantageous
