The Role
We are seeking a talented Clarinet Tutor to join our passionate music team starting Term 1, 2026. You will be an accomplished and qualified clarinet performer looking to join a team that values collaboration and growth.
This casual position involves approximately 20 hours per week across 4 days, with teaching divided between:
2 days at Caulfield Campus
2 days at Wheelers Hill Campus
We would prefer that candidates are available on Tuesday and Friday mornings to support our Year 5 and Year 7 Instrumental Programs for individual clarinet tuition, during term weeks.
There is scope to contribute to the wider music program, including participation in the Ensemble Program and supporting the development of clarinet ensembles.
You will be confident in building positive relationships with students and staff, and you will enjoy mentoring students in their individual clarinet lessons.
Key Duties
Foster young talent and support their musical growth
Model energy and innovative teaching practice to motivate aspiring musicians
Build strong relationships with students and colleagues
Collaborate with the Head of Woodwind to enhance the school's music program
Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
Skills And Experience
Demonstrated experience tutoring clarinet within a school music program
Capacity to engage and inspire junior and secondary aged students
Willingness to contribute to the music program, including ensemble involvement
Hold or willing to obtain an Employment WWCC or a current VIT Registration.
