Therapy Assistant Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Therapy Assistant to join our team in delivering high-quality care and support services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mobility and exercise programs, recreational and therapeutic activity programs, and assisting in the organisation and planning of therapy programs under the guidance of physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
* Deliver a range of engaging and effective therapy-based activity programs as directed.
* Maintain accurate documentation in line with relevant guidelines.
* Accompany resident groups on outings and ensure their safety and well-being.
Requirements
* Hold a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent qualification.
* A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher qualification is desirable but not essential.
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong organisational and time management skills to effectively coordinate therapy activities.
* Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with residents and multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to address challenges and concerns.
* Empathy and understanding of the needs of elderly individuals.
* Ability to obtain full Australian working rights and pass a national police clearance.
