Chef Role
Saint Maries is an extremely popular establishment known for its fun atmosphere and fine dining experiences.
* Our Chef will be responsible for planning, organising and executing the preparation and cooking of food in all sections of the kitchen.
* He/She will supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
* Developing new menu items is essential to our success, so you will need to be able to design and cost dishes that are both profitable and appealing to our customers.
* You will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior kitchen staff and apprentices, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their roles.
* Achieving high standards of hygiene and food safety is critical, and you will need to implement and monitor strict HACCP procedures to protect our customers and employees.
* Managing inventory, ordering supplies and minimising waste are also key responsibilities, as well as maintaining quality control of all dishes leaving the kitchen.
* Finally, you will work closely with the Head Chef/Sous Chef to ensure seamless communication and coordination between the front and back of house teams.
