Our Kalgoorlie team is seeking a highly skilled Manager to lead and develop our centre.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to oversee the operations and future growth of our centre, working closely with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with grant agreements and organisational direction.
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field and extensive experience in managing staff, teams, and operational systems for a health or community services organisation.
Demonstrated skills in recruitment, supervision, and team building, as well as proven track records in building effective relationships with diverse individuals, are essential requirements.
A strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people in Australia, coupled with high-level communication and interpersonal skills, is also crucial for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead, develop, and evaluate service delivery to young people and their families, ensuring alignment with grant agreements.
2. Promote and progress organisational vision, strategic plans, and regional business plans in collaboration with the Regional General Manager.
3. Promote and contribute to a supportive team environment, fostering productivity and organisational success.
4. Oversee the day-to-day operation of the centre, including management oversight of headspace staff at the Esperance Service.
5. Manage the recruitment and selection of new staff, ensuring orientation to service procedures and operations.
6. Monitor staff performance and development, addressing performance issues effectively.
7. Shape a productive working environment where staff understand their contributions to organisational success.
About You:
* Commitment to culturally secure and competent practice.
* Degree-level qualifications in allied health, behavioural/social sciences, youth work, mental health nursing, or a related discipline, or substantial relevant experience.
* Substantial experience managing operational systems for a health or community services organisation.
* Proven track record in building effective relationships with diverse individuals.
* Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with diverse individuals.
