Project Coordinator Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive project coordinator to support local governments and communities in disaster management and recovery initiatives.


About the Job

This role will involve supporting the implementation of disaster recovery programs, managing program documentation, conducting research and analysis, communicating with stakeholders, providing administrative support, and collaborating with colleagues.

* Key Responsibilities:
* Support Local and Regional Recovery Programs: Contribute to the successful implementation of recovery programs and initiatives, ensuring that services and benefits effectively reach disaster-affected communities and individuals.
* Manage Program Documentation: Update and manage documentation to ensure adherence to agreed project management methodologies and contribute to records management.
* Conduct Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis in designated project areas, interpret operational policies and procedures, and assist in the preparation of project briefs to support decision-making and planning.
* Communicate with Stakeholders: Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address implementation issues.
* Provide Administrative Support: Offer secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing related documentation, to facilitate effective project management and service delivery.
* Collaborate with Colleagues: Collaborate with colleagues to share insights, develop efficient work practices, and assist with crisis management in other local or regional areas.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have proven experience in project coordination, research, or administrative roles. You should also have an understanding of NSW disaster management and recovery processes, strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and policies, exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, proficiency in documentation management and project reporting, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and support team efforts across different projects.

You will also need to possess a current unrestricted NSW drivers' licence and be willing to travel within NSW and support other operational roles during disasters, emergencies and other events, consistent with your skills, background and personal circumstances.
