**The Business**

**The Role**
GenusPlus Group consists of several companies that are supported through an agile and collaborative Finance team. Our team are seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer for a permanent contract. The Accounts Receivable's purpose is to manage the day-to-day accounts receivable in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with the employee's appointed Entity/ Team Project goals.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the **Accounts Receivable Officer's**responsibilities will include:
- Provide advice in Accounts Receivable, as required.
- Liaise with Project Managers and Operations for invoicing claims/tenders, including service contracts and projects. Support contracts to achieve billing information for invoicing.
- With the assistance of the Finance Manager, develop and implement best practice for Accounts Receivable processes, practices and standards and determine process improvements to prevent identified issues from re-occurring.
- Allocate and open new Job Numbers, process and upload purchase orders and remittance payments into the system and send monthly statements to customers.
- Ability to manage high volume invoicing across various businesses
- Run various sales and job reports as requested by management and Project Managers.
- Assist other members in the Finance Team, as required.
- Ad hoc administration duties, as required.
**Essential Skills / Qualifications/Experience**
- Minimum 3 years' experience working within a similar finance and administration department.
- Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety.
- Current National Police Clearance.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Intermediate level PC, printer, scanners and internet skills.
- Intermediate level Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining high level of accuracy.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise day to day activities.
- High level customer relationship management, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently using own initiative and within a cohesive team environment.
- Knowledge of basic accounts (debit/credit).
- Understanding of tax invoices.
- Basic knowledge of what is GST free and what isn't.
- Ability to work well handling large amounts of money.
**Desirable Skills / Experience**
- Cert III or IV in Bookkeeping/Accounting or similar.
- Experience in utilities and/or construction and/or resources industry.
- Broad commercial awareness.
- Ability to use Microsoft Navision Business Central as part of day-to-day tasks.
