Queanbeyan Childcare Centre is a family-owned long day care provider, committed to delivering high-quality early childhood education and care in a nurturing and vibrant environment. Our Centre caters to 84 children across 5 rooms and is driven by a strong commitment to fostering each child’s development and well-being.

Positions Available

Key Responsibilities
As an ECT / Educator at Queanbeyan Childcare Centre, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. Your responsibilities will include:
* Foster a safe, secure, and stimulating environment that supports learning through play
* Build and maintain respectful and genuine relationships with children, families, and colleagues
* Design and implement age-appropriate educational programs for children aged 0–5 years
* Demonstrate understanding of the planning cycle, observation techniques, and linking learning outcomes
* Uphold service policies to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment
* Motivate and lead colleagues collaboratively, promoting a positive team culture
* Engage in reflective practice and strive for continuous improvement
* Participate in ongoing professional development, especially in child protection and safety
* Maintain high standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct
Qualifications and Experience
* Early Childhood Teaching degree or Diploma in early childhood education and care (qualifications must be recognised by ACECQA)
* Minimum of 12 months experience working in a Room Leader role in an early childhood education and care setting (required)
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to document children’s learning and maintain accurate records
* Experience in applying the EYLF and NQS in practice
* Demonstrated leadership and initiative
* Ability to work a fortnightly rotating roster
* Familiarity with KinderM8 is an advantage

Pre-Employment Checks
Offers of employment will be subject to the following pre-employment checks:
· Must have Two recent work-based references
· Must have Valid NSW Working with Children Check
· Must have Current First Aid Certificate, including CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certifications
· Must have Current Safe Sleep Training
· Must have National Police Check
· Must have Working Rights Check
· Must have completed Mandatory National Child Safety Training
