Leading tool and equipment importer seeking a Purchasing Manager at up to $140K+ Super based in Western Sydney

A leading importer and distributor of tools and equipment based in Western Sydney with a reputation for excellent service and high quality equipment.
**Your new role**
As Purchasing Manager you will ensure purchasing and logistics functions are executed precisely. Your responsibilities will include
- Maintain strong relationships with both global and domestic vendors
- Research potential vendors
- Liaise with freights companies
- Maintain supplier price lists and records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
- Reduce excess stock levels and ensure min/max stock levels are maintained
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure correct deliveries and products are received
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Proven experience in purchasing / procurement roles within an organisation that stocks a large range of products
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Experience with industrial, manufacturing or supply chain environments
- Experience with ERP systems
