Account Director – Corporate Communications
Part-time (3-4 days or open to school hours)
At iD Collective, we help brands show up with clarity, credibility and cultural relevance. We work across corporate communications, PR, events, creative, social and influence — partnering with ambitious organisations to shape reputation, build trust and create meaningful moments of connection.
We're now looking for an experienced Account Director – Corporate Communications to join our team in a part-time capacity, ideal for a senior communications leader seeking flexibility without compromise on impact.
The Opportunity
This is a senior, strategic role suited to someone who loves guiding clients through complex communications challenges while mentoring teams and shaping best-in-class work.
You'll lead a portfolio of corporate and reputation‐led accounts, acting as trusted counsel to senior stakeholders and overseeing the delivery of integrated communications programs across earned media, content, influencer and experiential channels.
Reporting to the Head of Communications, you'll play a key role in setting direction, maintaining quality, driving commercial outcomes and contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture.
What You'll Be Doing Strategic Corporate Communications
* Lead corporate communications strategy across multiple client accounts, including media relations, executive profiling, thought leadership, stakeholder communications and issues management
* Guide the development of key messaging, narrative frameworks, issues preparedness and response protocols
* Stay across media, policy, regulatory and cultural developments to proactively advise clients
Client Leadership & Relationships
* Own senior client relationships and act as a trusted strategic advisor
* Confidently present in meetings, workshops and performance reviews
* Build and maintain strong relationships with senior journalists, editors and industry partners
Integrated Delivery
* Partner closely with Creative, Events, Social and Digital teams to deliver integrated, earned‐first campaigns
* Ensure work is accurately scoped, tracked and delivered using Scoro, with strong oversight of timelines, deliverables and hours
* Oversee reporting and performance measurement aligned to client objectives and agreed KPIs
* Manage scopes, budgets and profitability across accounts
* Track quoted vs actual hours and proactively flag financial risk
* Contribute to organic growth and new business opportunities within the corporate communications portfolio
* Lead, mentor and support Account Managers, Senior Account Executives and Coordinators as required
* Provide clear direction, coaching and performance feedback
* Champion a culture of curiosity, collaboration, inclusion and accountability, modelling iD's values at all times
About You
* 6–8+ years' experience in corporate communications, PR or reputation‐led consultancy
* Proven experience leading senior client relationships and complex communications programs
* Commercially savvy with strong scope, budget and profitability management skills
* Confident communicator at executive and board level
* Strong understanding of media landscapes, culture drivers and reputation risk
* Comfortable working with tech tools such as Teams and SharePoint
* A collaborative leader who enjoys developing people and elevating work
Why iD Collective
* Senior, meaningful work in a genuinely flexible, part‐time role
* A values‐led agency culture that prioritises trust, collaboration and balance
* Exposure to diverse, high-quality clients and integrated campaigns
* Supportive leadership and a team that cares deeply about how we work, not just what we deliver
We're open to part‐time arrangements, including school‐hours or reduced days, and are happy to shape the role around the right person.
If you're a seasoned corporate communications leader looking for flexibility without stepping back from strategic impact, we'd love to hear from you.
