About the Role

Reporting to the National Government Relations Manager, you'll lead state‐level advocacy strategies, manage stakeholder relationships, and create high‐quality advocacy materials to support RACGP's strategic goals. You'll engage with State Faculty Chairs, Ministers, officials, and other key stakeholders to advance policy initiatives and ensure alignment with organisational objectives.

In this role, you'll also:
  • Develop and execute state-focused government relations strategies in alignment with the RACGP Advocacy Plan 2024‐25.
  • Build and maintain high-level relationships with Ministers, elected officials, departmental representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Create and oversee high-quality advocacy materials, including briefs, submissions, and position statements, to advance RACGP objectives.
  • Provide expert advice, support strategic initiatives, and coordinate advocacy campaigns and events to achieve organisational goals.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in government relations or advocacy.
  • Strong knowledge of Australia's healthcare and general practice.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships.
