Airswift is seeking a Senior Contracts Advisor / Category Specialist to support our client's high risk operational environment. The role oversees full contract lifecycle management, commercial negotiation, category strategy execution, and risk mitigation. You will partner with stakeholders to drive value, ensure governance, and optimise supplier performance across a diverse contract portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Contracting & Commercial
* Lead Tier A–C sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award.
* Develop and support category and sourcing strategies.
* Provide commercial guidance throughout pre and post award phases.
* Draft, review, and manage contracts in line with governance and risk frameworks.
* Assist in developing robust Scopes of Work.
* Prepare approval recommendations for internal and JV stakeholders.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
* Ensure processes comply with company policies, JV requirements, and regulations.
* Embed HSE, environmental, and operational risk controls in contracts.
* Support compliance with local content, Indigenous engagement, and modern slavery standards.
* Manage disputes, claims, and commercial exposure.
Stakeholder & Supplier Engagement
* Collaborate with internal teams to identify demand and operational needs.
* Build strong supplier relationships to drive performance and continuous improvement.
* Contribute to a cooperative, solutions?focused team environment.
Health, Safety & Environment
* Conduct all work in accordance with HSE policies and ensure contractual reflection of safety standards.
Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business, Law, or 10+ years' relevant experience.
* Business or Law qualification desirable.
* CIPS or equivalent highly regarded.
Skills & Experience
* 10+ years' experience in oil & gas operator contracting and category management.
* Strong end to end contracting experience (sourcing to post award management).
* Experience across subsea IMR, maintenance services, logistics, fabrication, hotel services, and OEM contracts.
* Skilled in analysing large data sets to identify category insights.
* Strong negotiation skills across conditions of contract and pricing structures.
* Proficient with CLMS, SAP, and SAP Ariba (sourcing + administration).
* Experience working within complex JOAs and JV approval processes.
* Commercially minded, innovative, resilient, detail?oriented, and able to work under pressure.
* Experience with sustainability requirements: AIP, local content, modern slavery.
