About the role
Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a full-time Child and Family Centre Coordinator to join our dedicated team in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality child and family services that support the wellbeing and development of the local community.
What you'll be doing
1. Coordinate the daily operations of the child and family centre, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
2. Develop and implement engaging programs and activities that cater to the diverse needs of children, young people and families
3. Build and maintain strong partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, community organisations and local leaders
4. Provide support, guidance and mentoring to centre staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of centre programs, using data and feedback to continuously improve service quality
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
7. Contribute to the overall strategic direction and growth of the child and family services offered by Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience in coordinating and delivering child and family services within a community-based setting
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
3. Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a demonstrated commitment to staff development and support
4. Thorough understanding of child and family welfare issues, as well as relevant legislation and regulations
5. Proficiency in using relevant software and digital tools to support service delivery and data management
