Employment type: Permanent, part-time. Shift information: 31-hours per fortnight. Monday & Tuesday 08:00am to 04:00pm. Location: Slade Pharmacy Murdoch, located inside St. John of God Murdoch Hospital. Who we're looking for: Pharmacy Technicians with a minimum of 1 year's dispensary experience. Oncology experience is desirable but not essential.
About the Role
We are seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to join our oncology pharmacy team at Slade Pharmacy Murdoch. This is a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the specialised field of oncology pharmacy. As an Oncology Pharmacy Technician, you'll be part of a dedicated team ensuring patients receive timely and accurate access to cancer-care medications.
Responsibilities
* Providing high-quality pharmacy services to hospital staff, patients, and customers
* Dispensing and supplying medications for hospital and cancer patients
* Assisting with imprest and pharmacy inventory management
* Delivering and collecting medications to and from hospital wards
* Entering patient-specific data into the pharmacy database
* Assisting with patient account enquiries and resolving issues
* Liaising with hospital staff and associated personnel
* Supporting the pharmacy team with general administrative tasks
Shift and Site Information
* 31-hours per fortnight
* Every Monday & Tuesday: 08:00am - 04:00pm
Requirements
* Essential: Minimum 1-year dispensing experience in an Australian pharmacy
* Australian working rights, valid for at least 12 months from date of employment
* The ability to work autonomously in a team environment
* Ability to work advertised shifts
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Dispensary Technician Certificate or equivalent as recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia
* Experience in hospital and/or oncology pharmacy
