In this role, you'll build security patterns and blueprints, provide high-level guidance on complex projects, and collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external partners.This is a strategic, consultative role that contributes directly to strengthening the organisation’s defences against cyber threats, insider risks, and other security challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, maintain and uplift security architecture patterns, blueprints and business-aligned rulesScope new projects and provide high-level security guidance during solution designDrive cyber security planning, implementation, and validation effortsAnalyse threats, workflows and business requirements to identify risks and develop mitigation strategiesDefine and document security requirements and controls aligned with enterprise standardsProvide expert advice on cyber risk management, aligned to frameworks and compliance obligationsPromote awareness and adoption of secure practices across teamsCollaborate with technical leaders, architects, and third-party vendorsAbout YouTertiary qualifications in cyber security, IT, computer science, or a related fieldRelevant certifications such as TOGAF, SABSA, CISM, CRISC, or CISSP are highly desirableHands-on experience in areas such as:Security architecture and designThreat modelling and system hardeningVulnerability assessment and risk governanceSecurity operations or compliance programsFamiliarity with one or more frameworks: NIST, ISO 27001, ASD ISM, PSPF, CIS, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDEStrong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholdersExcellent communication skills—verbal and written—with the ability to simplify complex security conceptsExperience with architecture modelling tools (e.g., Archimate) is a bonusCommitted to inclusive practices and continuous improvementThis role is based in Canberra and so must the candidate be.You must be an Australian Citizen, located in Australia to apply for this role.If you think this sounds like you, we want to hear from you, so please go ahead, send your CV today.
