ActivateUTS is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Project Manager – Digital & IT Transformation to lead organisation-wide initiatives that improve systems, data, digital capability, and business processes.
As a driving force for change, the role will drive transformation efforts that go beyond technological advancements, digital innovation, and the integration of AI, focusing on business processes, improving organisational efficiency, and fostering a culture of innovation.
The role will collaborate and work alongside all departments, which will be essential in creating an environment where change is embraced and supported through the organisation. The role also elevates project management methodology and drives key IT project outcomes, which positively impact the broader organisational culture. The successful person will be responsible for implementing impactful projects that will shape the future of our organisation and inspire a culture of innovation and excellence.
About the Role
As the Project Manager – Digital & IT Transformation, you will lead projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring high-quality delivery within agreed timelines and scope. You will strengthen project governance, enhance digital capabilities, and support the adoption of new technologies and ways of working, including opportunities involving data analysis and AI aligned with organisational strategy.
You will work closely with senior leaders, the Digital Strategy Consultant, vendors and stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities, build business cases, and coordinate activities that enhance operational efficiency and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities
Digital & IT Transformation
* Partner with the Digital Strategy Consultant, CEO and Senior Management Team to identify and deliver digital and operational improvement initiatives.
* Support the preparation, approval and ongoing tracking of business cases aligned to organisational strategy.
* Promote innovative approaches to improving systems, processes and operations, including opportunities to responsibly leverage data and AI.
* Support prioritisation of initiatives and contribute to effective resource planning across the transformation portfolio.
Support sustained change and benefit realisation.
Project Governance
* Develop and embed project governance frameworks, policies, tools and templates.
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
* Identify and manage project risks, contingencies and escalation pathways.
Ensure projects follow consistent governance, reporting and approval processes.
Project Management
* Lead multiple concurrent projects across organisational functions from initiation through delivery and closure.
* Define scope, timelines, resource plans and risk management approaches in collaboration with stakeholders.
* Gather business and functional requirements and conduct gap analyses for improvement initiatives.
* Guide stakeholders through project prioritisation, planning and approval processes.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams and collaborate with a Project Coordinator where applicable.
* Manage vendor relationships related to systems, software and project delivery.
Change Management
* Apply structured change management approaches to support transformation initiatives.
* Partner with Marketing and People & Culture to deliver communication and training plans.
* Identify potential barriers to change and implement mitigation strategies.
* Support the organisation in embedding new systems, processes and ways of working.
Reporting & Insights
* Prepare project and portfolio reports for senior management and the CEO.
* Maintain dashboards and monitoring frameworks to track project progress and outcomes.
* Support improvements to data integrity, reporting processes and project monitoring systems
Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as a key liaison between project teams, business stakeholders and external partners.
* Develop stakeholder engagement plans and manage expectations through transparent communication.
* Facilitate collaboration across teams to achieve project milestones and deliver outcomes.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and innovation.
About You
You are an experienced project manager who has worked on IT & Digital Transformation, who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments. You can work across multiple departments, navigate competing priorities, and drive projects that support organisational improvement.
You bring strong communication and change management experience, analytical capability, and an interest in business improvement, digital innovation, and collaborative change.

Selection Criteria
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in project management, digital transformation, or change management in a corporate environment.
* Demonstrated experience delivering complex, organisation-wide projects across multiple functions.
* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience in business process improvement, workflow mapping, and gap analysis.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical capabilities.
* Ability to adapt effectively in a dynamic, shifting environment.
* Relevant qualifications in Business, Project Management, Change Management, or related fields.
* Experience working with or within a PMO is desirable but not essential.
* Leadership experience and the ability to guide and support team members is desirable.
