Overview
Thales is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design and waterfront engineering support for both onboard and onshore Naval Capabilities. This pivotal role requires holding Level 3 Engineering Authority, offering you the chance to make a tangible impact on cutting-edge projects and in-service capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Waterfront electrical engineering support for onboard and onshore Naval Capabilities.
* Ensure design compliance with technical requirements, cost, and schedule.
* Attain Design Authority signatory status and Chartered status from Engineers Australia.
* Develop engineering task plans including staffing, cost, schedule and material requirements.
* Work with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure project and task success.
* Monitor and ensure quality and system safety requirements are met.
Your Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
* 8+ years of experience in Electrical Systems design and support.
* Proficiency in CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) and technical writing.
* Strong analytical skills and safety/risk management knowledge.
* Strong technical skills and broad exposure to technical issues.
* Experience in shipbuilding, repair, and Navy systems.
