About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a 6-month contract to support the deployment and configuration of Cisco Meraki infrastructure across multiple sites in Canberra. This is a hands-on role involving racking, stacking, cabling, and configuring network hardware, ensuring systems are deployed efficiently and according to best practice standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform physical deployment tasks including racking, stacking, and labeling network hardware.Configure and manage Cisco Meraki switches, access points, and firewalls.Conduct network testing, validation, and troubleshooting during and post-deployment.Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration into existing network infrastructure.Maintain accurate deployment documentation and asset inventory.Follow safety and compliance standards while on-site.
Required Skills & ExperienceProven hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki networking equipment.Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, and wireless networking.Experience with network deployment, racking, and stacking.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Australian citizenship or permanent residency, or ability to obtain security clearance if required.
