Young Academics Early Learning Centre is a leading and reputable provider with more than 50 centres across New South Wales. We are currently seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our vibrant Hoxton Park Service.
About the Role
As an Early Childhood Teacher at Academics you will create meaningful learning experiences and environments that reflect best practice and align with our service philosophy. Your role will be guided by a strong commitment to child safety, and you will uphold our child‐safe practices in all aspects of work. You will collaborate with fellow educators to build respectful partnerships with children, families and the wider community, fostering an environment that enhances children's wellbeing, confidence and lifelong love of learning.
This is a full‐time role – Monday to Friday, rotating roster between 6:30am and 6pm.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver a rich, engaging, and inclusive educational program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework.
* Support educators through intentional teaching, collaboration, and reflective practice.
* Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and the team.
* Follow Centre Policies & Procedures and the ECA Code of Ethics, maintaining exemplary records and conducting comprehensive program evaluations.
* Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, healthy environment that supports the well‐being of children, staff, and stakeholders.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with the National Quality Framework, including laws, regulations, and quality standards.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of the centre through active participation in our Quality Improvement Plan.
* Use your voice to advocate for children, families, and the profession, enhancing our service's professional identity.
* Maintain Mandatory Reporting responsibilities and requirements.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood and Care from a nationally approved registered training organisation.
* Demonstrated knowledge and application of the National Quality Framework.
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
* Valid Employee Working with Children Check (paid).
* Mandatory National Child Safety Training.
* Capacity to provide a minimum of two professional referees as part of the recruitment process.
Child Safety Matters
At Young Academics we prioritise children's safety and wellbeing. Our values, actions and decisions are guided by a genuine commitment to upholding the rights, interests, needs and voices of children in our care. We use CCTV in our centres and work closely with regulatory authorities to report any child safety concerns. Young Academics conducts reference checks, verifies that candidates hold a valid WWCC for paid work, and ensures there are no prohibitions or statutory notices against them.
