Job Responsibilities:
* Dispense medications accurately based on prescriptions from healthcare providers.
* Provide patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and health management.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapies.
* Monitor patient health outcomes and adjust medication plans as necessary.
* Conduct health screenings and immunizations as required.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medications dispensed and patient interactions.
* Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practices.
* Assist in the management of pharmacy operations, including inventory control and staff training.
* Stay updated on pharmaceutical advancements and participate in continuous education.
Essential Qualifications:
* Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
* Strong knowledge of pharmacy practices, pharmacology, and medication therapy management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Desired Experience:
* A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
* Experience in a clinical or community pharmacy role is preferred.
* Proficient in handling various pharmaceutical software and technology.
