School Administrative Manager Level 3 – Full Time – Ongoing – Helensburgh Public School

The School Administrative Manager is responsible for the efficient management of school financial and administrative systems, as well as supervision and training of school administration officers. The Manager manages the provision of support for school activities and routines, including student welfare and wellbeing, and works with the school principal, the school executive and teaching staff as required.

Essential Requirements

* Working with Children Check Clearance
* First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake First Aid training
* Administration of Medications – training to be provided based on student needs

Helensburgh Public School, located on Dharawal Country in the northern suburbs of Wollongong, is a dynamic and inclusive learning community of 486 students. The school has 18 mainstream classes and two Multi‐Categorical support classes.

The school provides high‐quality, evidence‐based literacy and numeracy instruction, ensuring all students have access to learning that meets their needs. Resources and professional learning are aligned to support both teaching and non‐teaching staff in service of student outcomes. The school culture is positive and collaborative, supporting smooth operations and student success.

The school maintains robust administrative and operational systems, ensuring effective communication, program management and day‐to‐day operations. Students participate in a wide range of activities including performing arts, sport, kitchen garden and student leadership programs. Selection Criteria

* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Capacity to supervise staff
* Demonstrated capacity to exercise initiative, organise resources and meet deadlines
* Demonstrated ability to undertake financial and accounting responsibilities including the use of computerised financial/administrative systems
* Effective oral and written communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to manage an office
* Ability to interact with school staff, students and members of the school community
* Knowledge of and commitment to the department's Aboriginal education policy
