Overview
Nyangatjatjara College, is located on Anangu Country in the heart of Australia. It lies adjacent to the tourist resort town of Yulara, minutes away from Australia's national icon Uluru. The College is seeking experienced teachers who show demonstrated agility and capacity in learning how to work effectively as specialists with Aboriginal students and their families. Currently the College enrols students at Junior Primary, Primary and Secondary School ages.
Your work will comprise learning how to adapt the Australian Curriculum around evidenced-based culturally responsive teaching and learning pedagogies to engage our students in richer, more meaningful and more authentic learning activities. You will be working closely with Anangu staff and a highly specialised leadership team who will guide your teaching and learning. Ongoing training through weekly learning workshops including involvement in research activities will be central to your work. As with any teaching position you will be responsible and accountable for the visible planning, delivering, assessing and reporting of student's progress. Your professional growth plan will be informed from AITSL standards and Teacher Registration compliance.
Responsibilities
* Learn how to adapt the Australian Curriculum around evidenced-based culturally responsive teaching and learning pedagogies to engage students in richer, more meaningful and authentic learning activities.
* Work closely with Anangu staff and a highly specialised leadership team who will guide your teaching and learning.
* Participate in ongoing training through weekly learning workshops including involvement in research activities.
* Be responsible and accountable for visible planning, delivering, assessing and reporting of students' progress.
* Develop your professional growth plan informed by AITSL standards and Teacher Registration compliance.

Qualifications and desirable areas
* Background in trauma and/or neuro-diverse education is a bonus.
* Demonstrated expertise in STEM, STEAM, Digital Learning, Digital Arts & ICT, Design, Technologies & Trades, LOTE, TESOL and/or EALD, Performing Arts & social media, Well-Being & Mindfulness, Health & PE, Nutrition and Cooking.
