This is a dynamic position for a highly skilled Senior Mission Engineer Manager who will lead teams to deliver advanced digital and mission engineering solutions for the Australian Defence Force.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading multi-disciplinary teams in analysis, design, implementation, and integration of enterprise systems and system-of-systems.
">
* Providing thought leadership and expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering, and Mission Engineering for development and evaluation of Defence systems.
">
* Overseeing the development and implementation of digital models to support system integration and acquisition.
">
* Applying systems engineering expertise across lifecycle phases, including requirements analysis, architecture development, risk assessment, and test and evaluation.
">
* Championing new systems engineering capabilities and processes focused on Digital Engineering and Digital Mission Engineering.
">
* Developing and employing capabilities of current MBSE and modelling and simulation tools to address critical Defence problems.
">
* Driving internal and external research opportunities in cutting-edge engineering fields.
">

The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in systems engineering and demonstrate expertise in MBSE and Digital Engineering.

We are looking for candidates with a combination of the following skills and qualifications:
">

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
">
* Minimum of 4 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
">
* Proven experience in architecture modelling and elicitation for complex systems and large-scale system of systems development.
">
* Demonstrated ability to lead technical work in complex, multi-disciplinary, and ambiguous situations.
">
* Experience leading engineers and analysts in conducting complex systems, system-of-systems, or mission engineering analyses.
">
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, alongside critical thinking abilities.
">
* Experience integrating models across modelling and simulation applications for detailed analysis.
">
* Knowledge of digital engineering and operational analysis processes and tools.
">
* Demonstrated ability to develop approaches utilising modern systems engineering methods.
">
* Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of developing trusted relationships with senior leaders.
">
* Able to obtain a security clearance up to a NV2 level, and desirably an active NV1 clearance.
