About the Opportunity

In this role you will be working on the general medical inpatient wards. This role will see you work within our inpatient acute team where you will deliver assessments and interventions to patients while working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Common presentations you will see are in the areas of aged care, neurology and orthopaedics.

You will have access to supervision and support from senior and experienced Occupational Therapists working on the ward with you. The Bowral hospital OT service is a team that supports each other and values everyone's unique experiences and skills. Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA

Current drivers licence

What You'll Be Doing

Provide a high quality occupational therapy service to clients and their families/carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for the clients of the service. This encompasses ensuring effective and efficient entry, assessment, treatment planning, treatment implementation, evaluation and separation of patients/clients in a multi-disciplinary setting. The Occupational Therapist is also responsible for undertaking designated administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery.

* Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Evidence of knowledge and commitment to the application of quality improvement and evidence based practice
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in a range of programs
* Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education
* Demonstrated clinical experience in Acute Inpatients settings.
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class drivers license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learners licenses are not permitted.
