Job Description
Columbia Aged Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant in Nursing to join our team in Oberon, NSW. As an integral part of the Care Services department, the successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality care to our residents. Responsibilities:
* Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
* Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional wellbeing
* Support the nursing staff in delivering medical treatments and administering medication
* Contribute to the development and updating of individual care plans
* Engage with residents in a respectful and person-centred manner, promoting their independence and dignity
* Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development
* Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any incidents or observations
* Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents

Desired Skills and Experience
* Certification as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) or equivalent qualification
* Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality care and support to elderly residents
* Proficiency in assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
* A compassionate and empathetic approach towards residents and their families
* Understanding of infection control principles and practices
* Willingness to adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
* Availability to work full time hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
