About the Role
Play a key role in delivering the Air Traffic Management Towers Technology Replacement Program (TTRP) — a national initiative transforming the technology that underpins Australia's air navigation services.
As a Commercial and Procurement Specialist, you'll lead the planning and execution of commercial activities for the TTRP, ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and alignment with value-for-money principles.
You'll provide expert advice on commercial strategy, contract management and vendor performance while managing relationships with key suppliers such as Thales, Saab and Frequentis.
Working within the Technology Strategy, Procurement and Commercial Services Branch, this role combines strategic commercial leadership, hands-on contract management, and strong stakeholder engagement to ensure the program delivers safe, reliable and cost-effective outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead commercial delivery and contract management for major acquisition and support agreements.
* Advise on procurement, governance and contract matters across the TTRP program.
* Negotiate contract changes, deliver commercial recommendations, and ensure risk and compliance alignment.
* Manage supplier performance and maintain effective commercial relationships.
* Prepare reports, briefs, and recommendations for program and executive decision-making forums.
* Identify commercial risks and opportunities to continuously improve contract and procurement outcomes.
About You
You're an experienced commercial professional with a strong background in complex procurement and contract management within large technology or infrastructure programs. You're confident engaging with senior stakeholders, managing vendors, and delivering commercially sound solutions.
You'll bring
* 12+ years' experience in complex contract and supplier performance management.
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline.
* Strong commercial acumen, analytical thinking, and negotiation skills.
* Proven ability to interpret financial data and manage commercial risk.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* (Desirable) CIPS or equivalent Contract Management qualification.
