The Opportunity
An exceptional opportunity awaits an accomplished Payroll Officer to join our client on an initial 4-month labour-hire or non-ongoing basis, with the possibility of two 3-month extensions.
In this role, you will leverage your experience with Aurion to undertake fortnightly processing and reporting duties, alongside managing escalations and correspondence.

The Role
As the APS6 Payroll Officer, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Undertake fortnightly processing and reporting on a rotating basis
* Ensure timely completion of checks within designated timeframes to maintain quality outputs
* Manage escalations, prepare complex correspondence, and provide accurate and timely advice to customers
* Effectively communicate with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders
* Implement changes in legislation or processes effectively within the team
* Initiate, manage, and implement payroll projects, delegating associated workloads appropriately
* Develop and implement business processes arising from payroll projects
* Conduct system testing as required

* Experience with Aurion is a must
* Demonstrated ability to effectively manage staff in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
* Previous experience in payroll administration
* Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
* A natural curiosity to identify issues, problem-solve, and offer valuable insights
* Proven ability to contribute to business improvement initiatives and the development, implementation, and review of systems, policies, and procedures
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster positive team relationships and provide feedback and assistance to colleagues and management
* Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and employment conditions effectively
Salary / Rate
* $85k – $100k + 15.4% Super
* $55/hr – $65/hr
* 4-month labour-hire or non-ongoing basis with the possibility of two 3-month extensions
