Your new role
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (OpenStack), you will act as a Subject-Matter Expert responsible for the end-to-end architectural design, procurement, and operational management of a private cloud platform. The role has a strong hands-on focus and will see you leading OpenStack and Ceph environments supporting mission-critical virtual machine workloads.You will provide high-level technical guidance, drive architectural decisions, and play a key role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of enterprise cloud infrastructure.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will bring:Extensive hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting OpenStack services in large-scale production environmentsStrong expertise in cloud networking, including VLANs and software-defined networking (SDN)Solid Linux system administration skills, ideally across enterprise distributions such as RHELProven experience acting as an SME, resolving complex infrastructure issues and advising stakeholders on platform stability and performanceExperience with Ceph storage architecture, management, and optimisation (highly desirable)Exposure to hardware lifecycle management, data centre design, and automation/CI/CD practicesAustralian citizenship and the ability to obtain NV1 security clearanceWhat you'll get in return
