About the Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager, we are seeking an experienced hands-on Maintenance Officer to join our team at Walkerville Aged Care on a full-time basis of 76 hours. The successful candidate will be required to work Monday - Friday, Hours may be flexible upon discussion).
You will be responsible for ensuring planned and corrective maintenance and repairs are carried out safely in an effective and timely manner. You will also be involved in projects, equipment replacement and budget preparation.
Your strong relationship skills with residents, contractors and suppliers will be a key part of making sure every day is the best it can be.
About You
To be successful, you'll need:
* General maintenance experience e.g., painting, plastering, equipment repairs, minor plumbing & electrical issues and grounds maintenance
* Current valid drivers' licence
* Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and team members
* Proficient documentation and computer skills
* Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
* Complete a police check and/or NDIS workers check
A trade qualification and previous experience in aged care or related industry are desirable but not essential.
