Privately owned clinic in small historic town, Bothwell is the gateway to the Great Lakes, yet it is only 60 minutes from Hobart and 90 minutes from Launceston. Bothwell is on the edge of the stunning Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Site for bushwalking and stunning scenery. There are world class brown trout fishing, an exceptional golf course and local distilleries (gin and whisky). Also, easy access to deer hunting, if that’s your thing.
The Position
* Two weeks per month ongoing.
* $1500 per day + GST
* The surgery is on the main street of Bothwell. 77km approx. 1 hour from Hobart
* Accommodation (3-bedroom house) located a 2-minute walk from the practice. Fully fenced and pets are allowed.
* Practice closes for lunch between 1pm & 2pm
* 8 Session per week
* Schedule: Week One; Monday-Thursday. Week Two; Tuesday - Friday. Week Three: Monday-Thursday. Week Four: Tuesday - Friday.
* 9am -5pm / 8 Hour Days

* If bringing own vehicle, assistance with mileage.
The Organisation
The practice is a small friendly local clinic with one-to-one support from an experienced receptionist and practice nurse (currently undertaking her advanced nurse practitioner training). There are visiting podiatry, physiotherapy and mental health services. The practice is run by a local GP who also runs a sister practice in Brighton, 40 minutes away, providing emotional and practical support, with the back-up of a bigger team, including the ability to cross cover for leave. The local council are very supportive and invested in the continued provision of local GP services.
