THE ROLE
The Casual Housekeeper (Wellness & Hygiene) role plays an important part in the customer experience for our students. An average day will involve you cleaning public areas (including common rooms, lounges, theatre, outdoor terraces, gym and laundry, corridors and stairwells), connecting with residents and other team members as well as planning other activities to increase the cleanliness and aesthetics of the building. You may also assist with weekly room cleaning and bed‑making for residents.
YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
* Overseeing the daily cleaning and presentation of public areas including common areas, bathrooms, lounges, theatre, meeting rooms, reception, gym, laundry, and corridors
* Change linens and make beds in student rooms weekly
* Being fully conversant with health and safety obligations
* Overseeing cleaning departure and stayover apartments
* Managing the housekeeping store
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
* Has an eye for detail
* Can prioritize tasks and multitask
* Works well independently and on a team
* Relates well to young adults
* Has 1-2 years cleaning experience in hotels or commercial spaces
