About the Role
Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is seeking a Senior Psychologist to join the Northern Adelaide Pain Rehabilitation Service (NAPRS) - a highly regarded, multidisciplinary service supporting individuals living with persistent and complex pain. This senior role offers a unique opportunity to combine advanced clinical practice with leadership, service development and mentorship in a specialist rehabilitation setting.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Northern Adelaide Rehabilitation Service, you will be responsible for the development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of high‐quality psychology services within NAPRS. Your work will directly contribute to improved health outcomes through evidence‐based, patient‐centred psychological care.
NAPRS is a collaborative, multidisciplinary team comprising Anaesthesiologists, Rehabilitation Physicians, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses and administrative staff. Within this environment, psychologists play a critical role in conducting comprehensive assessments, designing and implementing psychological interventions, and providing individual, group and family‐based counselling to people with chronic pain and their support networks.
As an experienced clinician, you will deliver specialist clinical and health psychology services while providing strong clinical leadership across the Chronic Pain Service. You will uphold professional standards, contribute to service planning and evaluation, and actively participate in research and quality improvement initiatives. As a mentor and approved supervisor, you will provide profession‐specific supervision, support the clinical education of staff and provisionally registered psychologists, and guide the development of early‐career clinicians. You will be accountable for your own practice standards, delegated activities and the clinical governance of psychology services.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification as recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA). Must be endorsed in area of practice. Must hold general registration with the PsyBA. Must hold approved supervisor status with the PsyBA at all levels of supervision (primary and secondary).

* proven experience in clinical leadership, including supervision, performance development and management of professional staff and trainees
* strong capability in managing ethical issues, including confidentiality and privacy
* excellent organisational, planning and time‐management skills
* highly developed communication, liaison and teamwork abilities
* strategic thinking, initiative and leadership in service development
* commitment to ongoing professional development aligned with organisational objectives
* experience developing, implementing and evaluating policies and procedures in hospital or ambulatory settings
* a strong understanding of the impacts of health issues on individuals, families and communities, and experience working within multidisciplinary teams
* proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and clinical information systems
