About the role
As the Retail Store Manager at Choice Discounts', you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our new Mackay store. This is a full-time position that requires strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for the retail industry.
What you'll be doing
* Manage all aspects of store operations, including staffing, inventory, and financial performance
* Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of sales associates to maximise productivity and sales
* Implement and monitor store policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards
* Analyse sales data and make strategic decisions to improve store performance
* Collaborate with regional and corporate teams to drive business growth and profitability
What we're looking for
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a retail management role
* Previous experience in Discount, Department store or Supermarkets is essential
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
* Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to build strong relationships with customers
* Proficient in using data and analytics to make informed business decisions
* Proficient in computer use
* Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs
* Flexibility to work across the whole week as we are a 7 day trader
* A Manager that thrives in being productive at a fast pace
