Finance Manager
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of two dynamic hospitality properties. This is a key leadership role, partnering closely with the Area Financial Controller to drive financial performance, compliance, and strategic decision-making across both properties.

About the Role
Reporting to the Area Financial Controller and working closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for the end to end finance function for both properties, you will take end-to-end responsibility for the financial operations of both properties. This includes managing financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and statutory compliance..
You will play a critical role in providing timely financial insights, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting department heads to manage costs, labour, and profitability. The role requires a hands-on approach, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to balance operational support with strong financial governance across a dual-property environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accurate month-end accounts and reports, provide comparisons to forecasts and budgets, taking into consideration historical data
Track and report revenue and expenses
Collate and organise financial statements and reports
When requested conduct financial audits
Use appropriate resources to ensure compliance and consistency of policy, integrity of accounting processes and functions including daily ledger reconciliation balances
Establish productive working relationships with department heads to improve their overall understanding of relevant systems, procedures, financial results, budget and forecast processes to enhance profitability
Assist the Area Financial Controller to ensure Cost Control and Purchasing Departments operate within set budgets and as per legislation
Liaise with third party stakeholders where required
About you
Strong communication skills are needed, to be proficient with explaining complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders and to successfully collaborate with all hotel departments and management team to achieve financial objectives.
You will hold a tertiary qualification, be a qualified accountant and hold full time working rights in Australia.
The role requires clear written and spoken English skills, accompanied with a mature, pleasant attitude.
Strong analytical and numerical skills, possessing a high attention to detail
Ability to effectively time manage large volumed workloads, to meet deadlines and perform well in pressure situations
Excellent Microsoft and Excel office skills
Authentic interpersonal & communication style
Experience within a 5 Star branded Hotel operation
