Part Time, 6 Month Fixed Term Contract 24 hours per fortnight Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.
Our Cancer & Wellness Service supports people with cancer, whether at diagnosis, during treatment and beyond, providing high quality comprehensive cancer care close to home for those in the Central Hume Catchment.
Our services include a team of dedicated specialists cancer nurses, and a Day Chemotherapy and Medical Infusion Unit.
The Day Oncology Unit at NHW comprises 9 treatment chairs for the administration of cancer treatments (chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive treatments), and infusions for neurology, inflammatory bowel and other medical conditions.
The Registered Nurse, Oncology is required to:
complete comprehensive nursing assessments of patients attending the Unit complete Supportive Care Screening of patients provide patient/carer education and support provide safe administration of cancer treatments and other medical infusions liaise with all members of multidisciplinary team as required Our Region:
