The opportunity
We are in the market for an experienced and qualified professional Manager People Services; you are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge.
Are you an experienced HR leader passionate about shaping organisational culture and workforce capability? The City of Mandurah is seeking a Manager People Services to lead our People & Culture team and drive the delivery of strategic human resources and work health and safety initiatives.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will:
Work with your team to develop, deliver and implement the City's human resources framework, ensuring best practice in human resources, industrial relations, and work health and safety advice across the organisation.
Work with the Executive Leadership Team to drive the City of Mandurah Workforce Plan to strengthen organisational capability, capacity, and culture.
Lead the provision of high-quality service delivery for our community, through the recruitment and development of a skilled workforce.
We are looking for a strategic thinker with significant HR leadership experience, strong knowledge of employment legislation, and a proven ability to lead organisational change. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of Mandurah by maximising the potential of our people.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related discipline
Significant experience as a leader within Human Resources and Organisational Development
Extensive knowledge of employment legislation and regulations and thorough knowledge of human resource management and industrial relations principles and best practices.
Significant experience in developing and delivering WHS strategies and plans
Comprehensive knowledge and experience of current strategic trends and issues affecting the core functions of the role, ideally within a local government context, with significant experience in leading change and developing organisational capability.
Experience dealing with complex, cross-organisational matters and leveraging data/information as evidence for decision-making.
