Location: Exeter (20 minutes from Launceston), Tasmania with national travel
Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 + super
Who are we:
Trek Tours Australia operate guided walking experiences that connect people to Australia's landscapes, stories and communities. We're looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to create and lead our marketing strategy and execution as we continue to grow nationally. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands tourism, values authenticity, and can translate purpose into bookings. This is a new position within the business, ready for the right person to make it their own.
About the role:
You will be responsible for developing and delivering marketing strategies that drive awareness, demand and revenue across our walking tours nationwide. You'll own the marketing function end-to-end — from planning through to execution. The role will allow you to travel to some of the most remote and spectacular locations in Australia. You'll work closely with our operational teams across Australia to ensure our marketing reflects who we are, where we operate, and the experiences we offer.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns aligned to our trading calendar and peak seasons
* Manage email marketing, partnerships, content and social media
* Monitor campaign performance, analyse results and provide clear insights to inform decision-making
* Stay across market trends, competitor activity and changing traveller behaviour
* Oversee external agencies, freelancers or specialist support where required
* Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure marketing aligns with operational realities and brand values
What We're Looking For
* 4+ years' experience in a marketing role, ideally within tourism, travel or experience-based businesses
* Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or equivalent practical experience
* Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms and best-practice execution
* A strategic thinker who is also comfortable being hands-on
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
* Confidence working independently, taking ownership and driving initiatives forward
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise effectively

* Proven marketing experience within the tourism industry
* A strong commercial mindset, with confidence being measured on revenue and ROI
* The ability to challenge ideas constructively and focus on initiatives that drive bookings
* Willingness and ability to travel to destinations across Australia to develop and manage marketing opportunities
