Business Development Manager
North Sydney (Hybrid)
WOW Recruitment is recruiting for a Business Development Manager role with one of Sydney's leading event organisers.
Delivering events across sectors including energy, tech and infrastructure, they are seeking a new BDM as they launch a new event in Australia.
The new event will be aligned with their best performing event brand globally, so you'll receive plenty of warm leads and have a strong pipeline of existing clients.
In this role, you'll:
* Become an industry expert: Deep dive into the energy sector, understanding the key challenges and opportunities facing businesses today.
* Create a strong value proposition: Develop and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals that showcase the unique value and impact of the event.
* Build meaningful relationships: Connect with C-level executives, industry influencers, and thought leaders, building trust and establishing long-term partnerships.
* Negotiate and close deals: Drive revenue growth by successfully securing sponsorship and exhibitor contracts.
* Collaborate with a winning team: Work closely with marketing, operations, and content teams to ensure flawless event execution.
What we're looking for:
* A hunter's mentality: A proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving ambitious goals.
* Experience in events: A background working in an event organiser.
* Exceptional communication skills: The ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely, both written and verbally.
* Strong interpersonal skills: A natural relationship builder with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
Salary & Comms
Base - $100 - 115k + super
1st year OTE - $140-155k + super
