About the Role
We are looking for highly motivated Engine Maintenance Technicians to work on the most exciting engine platforms in the defence sector – the M1 Abrams AGT1500 engine, the legendary F/A 18 Super Hornet's F414 engine and F135 engine that powers the most advanced fifth-generation fighter in the world – the F35 Lightning II.
Your duties include:
Performing heavy engine maintenance activities including strip, detailed inspection, and assembly
Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with approved publications, technical data, and work instructions
Maintaining documentation of work in progress
Performing maintenance supervisory/inspection duties as specified by aviation regulators
Continually looking for way to improve in efficiency and effectiveness
Taking all reasonable steps to ensure own safety and the safety of others
Skills and Experiences:
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
Demonstrable knowledge of strip, detailed inspection and assembly of the gas turbine engine
Demonstrable knowledge and experience working within airworthiness rules and regulatory requirements
The ability to maintain documentation of work in progress and composition of maintenance worksheets
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals to meet regulatory requirements
A passion and drive to deliver to keep their customers flying
