About Sport and Recreation
The Sport and Recreation team promotes participation and achievement in sport and recreation to support a healthy lifestyle for all Western Australians through physical activity. It provides strategic leadership and support for the sport and active recreation sectors with a focus on inclusion and accessibility. This work extends into regional areas where the team contributes to a broad range of community outcomes in partnership with state and local government agencies, regional sporting associations, peak bodies, and community clubs to support liveable regional communities.
About the role
As a Regional Officer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining strong partnerships with government agencies, local government, non‐profit organisations, associations, clubs and community groups/volunteers to deliver optimum sport and recreation services across the Mid West region. The right person will assist with regional planning, manage projects and represent the Department at local and regional levels, providing guidance on local sport and recreation trends, issues and opportunities.
We have one permanent, full‐time (75 hrs p/f) position.
