Job Summary
The role of Solutions Engineering Manager is a pivotal position that oversees the pre-sales organisation within the ANZ Federal Sales District. This leader is responsible for directing all aspects of the team, including management oversight, growth and development, and employee selection, hiring and development.
This highly skilled professional will lead by example, foster a winning culture and motivate their team to excel. They must be extremely results-driven, customer-focused, technologically savvy and skilled at building internal relationships and external partnerships.
The overall responsibilities of this role include:
* Leading, coaching and motivating the team to achieve high performance, collaboration and continuous learning
* Developing and overseeing the team's professional development
* Establishing and monitoring performance goals for the team in collaboration with Sales Leadership
* Evaluating market trends and competitor behaviour and providing feedback to Sales Leadership and Product Management
* Participating in sales campaigns and operating as an active business partner to Sales and contributing to the Leadership Team to drive revenue growth
* Accountable for the retention of key talent and hiring and onboarding of new employees
Skills And Education Required
* A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is required; a Graduate Degree is preferred but not essential
* A minimum of 8 years of experience as an individual contributor and 1-5 years as a people manager is required
* Based in Canberra and understanding of the ANZ Federal sector is a must
* Candidate must have Australian citizenship with security clearance (NV1 and above is preferred)
* Experience demonstrating significant expertise in technical specifications required to sell NetApp products and services is necessary
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with employees within the department and across functions
* Must have aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems
