Responsibilities
* deliver high-quality child developmental social work services that enhance patient outcomes
* provide leadership, consultancy, and guidance on best-practice service delivery
* undertake complex assessments, discharge planning, and tailored interventions for patients and families
* mentor and support less experienced staff and students, fostering professional excellence and continuous growth
* contribute to policy development, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities that shape service innovation
This pivotal role ensures patients and families receive compassionate, timely, and effective support during some of life's most challenging moments.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
About You
In this role you will bring extensive experience in social work with a focus in supporting families with children experiencing developmental delays, proven ability in program evaluation, service development and complex case management, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, strong leadership and mentoring skills that empower others to excel and resilience, adaptability, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment.
