About Central Gippsland Health
Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub-regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire. CGH is located in the City of Sale which is 215 km east of Melbourne. The City of Sale is an ideal access point for the Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach, and the Victorian Alps.
CGH provides acute care across three campuses (Sale, Maffra, and Heyfield), including emergency department, critical care units, neonatal critical care, operating theatres, and more. It is also a teaching hospital affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health, offering placements and clinical experience for students.
About Department
The Pharmacy Department is based at Sale Central Gippsland Health hospital. You will work in a dynamic hospital pharmacy environment with a team of pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and technicians, providing clinical inpatient and outpatient services, medicines information, and participating in clinical trials.
About The Role
Participate in the AdPha’s CGH Residency Program, gaining experience in clinical and operational areas with structured professional development, aimed at early career pharmacists or those transitioning into hospital pharmacy. The program aligns with the Australian Advanced Pharmacy Practice Framework and offers pathways to further professional development, such as Registrar Training.
Duties
Provision of pharmacy services to the hospital, patients, and community
Ensure medication safety and optimize medication management for patient outcomes
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Current AHPRA Pharmacy Registration and Professional Indemnity Insurance
Effective communication skills
Patient-focused approach
Adaptability to a dynamic, team environment
