About the Role/s
We are seeking Patient Support Assistants to join our team on a casual basis in delivering high-quality patient-centered care at our reputable independent private hospital.
Our Housekeeping team plays a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients. Your compassion, expertise and attention to detail will play a key role in providing a comfortable recovery process for our patients.
Possessing the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team the purpose of this role is to deliver excellent care to our patients in a safe and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage in housekeeping tasks such as replacing linens on beds, cleaning patients rooms and wards.
* Provide catering services.
* Checks and organises rubbish and soiled linen ready for collection.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of PPE requirements.
* Maintains a safe and hygienic working environment.
Essential Criteria
* Candidates must have relevant support assistant experience.
* Available to work evenings and weekends as and when required.
* Available for approximately 15-30 hours per week as required.
* Able to increase availability for leave cover as required.
* Demonstrated knowledge of food handling and hospitality procedures.
* Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated customer service experience.
* Ability to work in a team environment and work independently.
* A professional attitude with excellent personal presentation.
* Valid national police check not older than 6 months.
* Have a current or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check.
* Australian work rights are required, with valid work visas acceptable on a case-by-case basis.
Desired Criteria
* Certificate III or higher in relevant field.
* Previous experience working in a private hospital or aged care is desirable.
