Job Description:
The Support Services Manager will lead a dynamic, multidisciplinary team in navigating complex operational challenges. Key responsibilities include maintenance, engineering, logistics, warehousing, planning, scheduling, and operations.
* Maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities
* Subcontractor and supplier management for procurement and supply chain needs
* Development and implementation of Australian Industry Capability (AIC) initiatives
* Technical data and Defence-supplied equipment management
* Leadership of uniformed personnel to achieve operational objectives
* Compliance with regulatory requirements through effective maintenance management systems
* Reporting, administration, and coordination of service delivery
Requirements:
Successful candidates will have demonstrated leadership skills in delivering support services within a complex stakeholder environment.
* Experience managing support services in an Australian Defence context
* Strong initiative, self-motivation, and analytical problem-solving skills
* Proven ability to build, lead, and support high-performing teams
* Deep knowledge of engineering, maintenance, and supply support systems
* Understanding of Defence Engineering statutory compliance requirements
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* High-level analytical, reporting, and presentation capabilities
* Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities
* Capable of working independently with sound organisational and time management skills
* Effective planning, delegation, and team motivation skills
