Job Title:Metal Fabricator / Boilermaker
About the Role:
We are seeking skilled metal fabricators/boilermakers for a casual ongoing opportunity.
This role involves fabricating, assembling and welding metal components according to customer specifications.
You will work on a variety of projects, from structural steelwork to precision welding and fabricating for food industry equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements.
* Fabricate, assemble and weld stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium components.
* Operate workshop machinery, including lathes, press brakes, plate benders and plasma cutters.
* Perform TIG, MIG and aluminium welding to a high standard.
* Inspect and test fabricated products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Work on-site for installations and maintenance when required.
* Operate and maintain fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
* Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
* Be able to manage a team if supplied to you on larger projects.
* Work autonomously without supervision.
Requirements:
* Trade qualification in metal fabrication, boiler making or a related field.
* Experience in TIG, MIG or aluminium welding.
* Proficiency in operating fabrication machinery.
* Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
* Willingness to travel to Tailem Bend daily or relocate closer if necessary.
* A forklift and/or EWP license is a plus.
