Your new role
As the Safety Patrol Team Leader, you'll oversee a dedicated safety patrol team working night shifts from 9pm to 6am on a 7-on, 7-off roster. This is a 12-month appointment, subject to budget availability. While some field coordination is required, the role is primarily office-based, involving operational oversight, handling phone calls, responding to incidents, and keeping systems up to date.
You'll be responsible for:
* Leading and supervising safety patrol staff
* Allocating staff across shifts and patrol zones
* Maintaining accurate patrol logs, incident records, and operational reports
* Monitoring patrol activities and providing guidance
* Managing incoming communications during shifts
* Using computer systems for rostering, reporting, and internal coordination
* Ensuring ROCS 1 and 2 compliance (mandatory)
What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for a confident and capable leader with:
* Prior experience in community safety, security, or similar fields
* Strong computer and administrative skills, including digital record keeping
* Proven experience supervising teams in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* ROCS 1 and 2 certification (mandatory)
