Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon – Located at Albany Health Campus, this full‐time role offers a collaborative environment in one of Australia's most stunning regional settings – the Great Southern.
Compensation
* Salary range $412,161 – $523,436 per annum, inclusive of base salary, 12% superannuation, and professional development allowance.
* Salary subject to assessment of qualifications, clinical skills and years of practice.
Overview / Responsibilities
* Perform clinical duties and provide patient care within the scope of orthopaedics (on‐site consultation, emergency services, outpatient clinics, operations and procedures).
* Provide clinical oversight, support and advice to medical practitioners in orthopaedics.
* Oversee the training of Registrars, Resident Medical Officers and interns.
* Participate in quality and safety programs: audits, incident reviews and clinical practice improvement projects.
Qualifications
* Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia without restrictions.
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) Orthopaedic.
* Substantial clinical experience relevant to orthopaedic surgery.
* For SIMG applicants: valid specialist assessment outcome from the relevant college, with up to 12 months of required supervision prior to applying.

It functions as a regional resource centre and secondary referral hospital, handling over 30,000 acute presentations annually in its Emergency Department. The hospital also offers a range of specialised services including medical oncology, radiation oncology, subacute care and palliative care.
