Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, the Underground Mine Surveyor will manage and perform surveying activities to enable efficient and safe mine production at the Tropicana Gold Mine. The role operates on an 8 days on/6 days off FIFO roster from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie.
Responsibilities
* Take an active approach to safety, ensuring you and your team align with the company's values, policies, and procedures.
* Extend and verify the underground and surface survey control network using Leica instruments to exceed regulatory accuracy requirements.
* Schedule and prioritise survey tasks, liaising between technical departments and mining contractors.
* Perform surveying activities necessary for the safe achievement of targeted mine production, including underground development, production, and drilling.
* Regularly update mine models, conduct void scanning, and complete end-of-month reporting processes.
* Use spatial data to create plans and reports for underground mine advancement.
* Act as an active team member contributing to the business unit's delivery on critical tasks.
Qualifications
* Diploma of Surveying or higher.
* Previous exposure or familiarity with Deswik software.
* Underground mine surveying experience is highly regarded (but not essential).
* Ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously.
* Familiarity with the latest Leica survey equipment.
* Strong practical, planning and prioritising skills.
* Current C-Class driver's licence (manual preferred).
* National Police Clearance.
